Refund Policy

At effectly.ai, operated by Effectly AB, we stand behind the quality of our autonomous SEO platform. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may be issued and the process for requesting them.

This Refund Policy is separate from our Money-Back Guarantee. Please review both documents to understand all available options.

1. Overview

effectly.ai provides an autonomous SEO platform that audits your websites, understands your audience, and applies fixes directly to your CMS. We believe in the reliability of our service and want you to try it with confidence.

2. General Refund Policy

2.1 No Refunds for Subscription Services

Due to the nature of our autonomous SEO platform, all subscription fees are generally non-refundable. This includes:

  • Monthly subscription fees
  • Partial month subscriptions
  • Unused portion of a billing period
  • Services already rendered (audits run, changes applied to your CMS, etc.)

2.2 Why Subscription Fees Are Non-Refundable

Our Service incurs significant costs from the moment you subscribe:

  • AI agent usage and computational resources
  • Audit runs and CMS write processing
  • Infrastructure and hosting costs
  • Third-party API usage

These costs are incurred when audits run and changes are applied, regardless of whether you ultimately keep all changes.

3. Exceptions to the No-Refund Policy

We may issue refunds only in the following exceptional circumstances where the platform fails to function:

3.1 Technical Issues

If our Service experiences significant technical problems that prevent you from accessing the Service for an extended period (48+ hours), make the Service completely unusable, or cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe, we may provide a prorated refund for the period the Service was unavailable, provided you have not run audits or had changes applied prior to the technical failure.

3.2 Billing Errors

If you are charged incorrectly due to duplicate charges, charges after cancellation (if cancellation was processed before billing), or system errors, we will investigate and issue appropriate refunds for verified billing errors.

3.3 Unauthorized Charges

If you can demonstrate that a charge was unauthorized or fraudulent, we will immediately suspend the account, investigate the claim, and issue a refund if verified.

3.4 Platform Failure

If the platform completely fails to run audits or apply changes to your CMS, we may offer a refund at our discretion. However, if you have successfully run audits or had any changes applied, this proves the platform worked and no refund will be issued.

4. Money-Back Guarantee (First-Time Subscribers)

New customers are protected by our Money-Back Guarantee. This guarantee applies only if the platform fails to work or run audits. If you have successfully run audits or had changes applied to your CMS, the guarantee does not apply as the platform worked as intended. 5. Requesting a Refund

5.1 How to Request

To request a refund under this policy, you must:

  • Send an email to hello@effectly.ai with the subject "Refund Request"
  • Include your account email and order/invoice number
  • Clearly explain the reason for your refund request
  • Provide any supporting documentation or evidence

5.2 Review Process

Upon receiving your refund request: we will acknowledge receipt within 1 business day; we will review your request within 5-7 business days; we may request additional information or clarification; we will provide a written decision with explanation.

5.3 Refund Processing

If your refund is approved: the full or partial refund amount will be specified; refunds are processed to the original payment method; processing typically takes 5-10 business days; your account may be suspended or terminated.

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@effectly.ai.

6.2 Effect of Cancellation

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to the Service until the paid period ends. No refund is provided for the remaining days in the billing period. Your data is retained for 90 days in case you reactivate.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

Please contact us before filing a chargeback. Chargebacks can result in immediate account suspension. We are committed to resolving billing disputes fairly. If you have a concern, contact us at hello@effectly.ai and we will work with you to find a solution.

8. Prorated Refunds

In exceptional cases where we determine a partial refund is warranted: refunds are calculated on a daily prorated basis; we deduct the value of services already rendered; minimum refund amount is $10 (smaller amounts may become account credits).

9. EU Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU Consumer Rights Directive. However, by using the Service and running audits or having changes applied, you acknowledge that the Service begins performance immediately upon subscription and that audit runs and CMS changes constitute full performance of the service. You waive the right of withdrawal once audits have been run or changes applied to your CMS.

10. No Refunds for the Following

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Failure to cancel before renewal
  • Dissatisfaction with SEO results or ranking changes
  • Audits that were successfully run (proves platform worked)
  • Changes that were applied to your CMS (proves platform worked)
  • Failure to use the Service during a billing period
  • Better pricing found elsewhere after subscription
  • Violation of Terms of Service resulting in termination
  • Third-party CMS or integration issues beyond our control

11. Alternative Solutions

Before requesting a refund, please consider: downgrading your plan, contacting support for configuration help, or accessing our documentation and tutorials.

12. Refund Decisions Are Final

All refund decisions made by Effectly AB are final and at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to approve or deny refund requests based on these terms, modify this policy with 30 days notice, and make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

14. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Sweden and EU consumer protection regulations. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with our Terms of Service.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
